This is probably going to sound really weird but I would consider talking about trichotillomania my comfort zone... so when I decided to write a poetry collection about love and all that goes into it, I was scared half to death! Selecting one very specific aspect of my life to share with the world is one thing but I followed my heart and it created something that I find truly special.
Before I continue I want to mention that my blog post celebrating Vicissitudes first year of life is worth reading and so I'm going to link it here! I think you'll enjoy it!
Oh, and in case you want a signed copy...
In celebration of Vicissitudes turning 2, I want to share 2 of my favorite poems from my collection. I have a lot of favorites so this was tough!

"better" felt like a poem that I'd write on a sticky note and hide in my husband's suitcase for him to find while away on a trip. This is the type of love poem you'd write for a person that you never get tired of being around. Just them being themselves brings you unimaginable and unexplainable joy. A love that has you waking up in the morning smiling from ear to ear every single day.

"lead me to you" is a poem you'd write when you find yourself reflecting on life and the love that you've experienced after finally experiencing true love. You're able to look back on things that might've brought you pain and say to yourself, I wouldn't change a thing knowing what I know now.
Love is a funny thing. We all go through it yet our experiences are unique to us. Thank you for reading Vicissitudes and seeing love through my eyes.
