Trichotillomania Author, Advocate, & Coach
My Story
After nearly a decade in the classroom, I made the leap into a new chapter as a peer coach—driven by a deep passion for mental health and self-acceptance.

In 2020, I published my memoir, The Trichster Diaries, where I opened up about my personal journey with trichotillomania, a hair-pulling disorder that affects millions yet remains widely misunderstood. That experience ignited a mission: to raise awareness and foster understanding around this often-overlooked condition.

By 2021, I expanded my advocacy through multiple creative channels. I launched a podcast, published a guided journal, created an online course, and left teaching to pursue coaching full-time. My podcast, Trich Talks, features powerful, heartfelt conversations with guests who bravely share their experiences with trichotillomania. My guided journal, My Trichster Diaries, invites readers into their own healing journey through prompts, poetry, tips, and personal reflections. I also developed Sharing Our Stories (SOS), a 25-session online course designed to nurture self-discovery and acceptance through guided prompts, activities, and community connection.

Since 2023, I’ve been working as a certified professional coach, supporting individuals in understanding, accepting, and embracing their trichotillomania. My coaching blends logic with compassion, helping clients build self-trust, confidence, and self-love. In 2024, I joined the HabitAware team as a virtual peer coach, furthering my mission to empower others on their journey to healing.
